Zander Moricz

Zander Moricz is the founder and Executive Director of the Social Equity through Education (SEE) Alliance, a grassroots coalition in Florida known for organizing the largest student-led protest in the state's history. He gained national attention for his graduation speech, which used his curly hair as a metaphor for his queerness, and was a primary plaintiff in the successful lawsuit against Florida's "Don’t Say Gay" legislation.

 

Zander’s activism has reached over one billion people in more than 100 countries, leading him to take a leave from Harvard to focus on community organizing and youth voter registration in Sarasota. His work has been featured in major media outlets, and he has received numerous accolades, including recognition as one of GLAAD’s "20 under 20" and the Spirit of Matthew Shepard Award.
