About Ms. Gilmore

Renée James Gilmore, a fourth-generation Sarasotan, is the executive producer and host of ABC7’s "Empowering Voices," a public affairs program focusing on diversity and inclusion. She also founded the Saja Group, a consultancy promoting inclusion in business and community settings.

Gilmore’s media career began on air at WSPB radio while still in high school, followed by roles at ABC7-WWSB after graduating from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. With an MBA from Clark Atlanta University, she transitioned into leading multibillion-dollar initiatives in both public and private sectors, earning recognition from the US Department of Labor for her innovative work.

She returned to ABC7 in 2018 and serves on multiple Boards, advocating for human rights, women in business, veterans, and creative initiatives.
