About Francis
Francis M. García Fernández is the Founder and CEO of GARCIA, a Sarasota- and Bradenton-based public relations firm helping nonprofits, local leaders, and changemakers tell their stories with heart, honesty, and impact. He brings experience in advocacy, public policy, and digital strategy, having led successful campaigns that raised funds, shaped narratives, and expanded community reach.

Previously, Francis served as Communications Coordinator at Parenting Matters, advancing child abuse prevention efforts, and worked on the US House Democratic leadership communications team, producing Spanish-language releases and digital content reaching 1.3 million users. As Marketing Coordinator for the Boxser Diversity Initiative, he helped launch Visions of the Black Experience and Manasota Remembers and led a Giving Challenge campaign that raised $20,000 and won “Best Use of Social Media.”

Fluent in English, Spanish, and French—with developing Mandarin—Francis is an alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School Public Policy Fellowship and the US State Department’s Charles B. Rangel Program.
