On January 9, 2024, the Boxser Diversity Initiative (BDI) and WEDU PBS, in partnership with the James Museum, hosted the final session of their three-part discussion series at the James Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. K. Ian Shin, Professor of History and American Culture at the University of Michigan, led an important conversation on the rise of anti-Asian sentiment and recent legislation and court decisions affecting the Asian American community today.
This event offered attendees a timely and insightful examination of challenges facing Asian Americans, situating current issues within a broader historical and cultural context.
