On February 24, 2024, in collaboration with the Equal Justice Initiative, Manasota Remembers unveiled a Historical Marker commemorating the six documented victims of racial violence in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The dedication ceremony took place at the Unitarian Universalists of Sarasota.
The Marker serves not only to honor these individuals but also to recognize all those who have suffered racial terror throughout Southwest Florida and across the United States.
